The month of April is set to an exciting one for movie lovers who will finally be able to watch highly anticipated films such as The Super Mario Bros. Movie and more on the big screen at local cinemas.

From action-packed dramas and horror films to comedic romance movies and, there will be something for everyone at the box offices.

If you are interested in catching a movie sometime soon and you are unsure of what to watch, here are 10 trailers for movies coming in April that you can add to your watch list.

1. The Super Mario Bros. Movie (April 5)

Genre: Adventure, Family, Animation

Synopsis: An animated feature based on the popular Super Mario Bros. video game. With help from Princess Peach, Mario gets ready to square off against the all-powerful Bowser to stop his plans from conquering the world.

Cast: Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy and Charles Martinet

2. Air (April 5)

Genre: Drama, Biography

Synopsis: The movie follows Sonny Vaccaro and his journey of trying to persuade Nike to create a shoe for a then rookie basketball player Michael Jordan.

Cast: Ben Affleck, Viola Davis, Chris Messina, David Ellison, Matthew Maher and Julius Tennon.

3. On A Wing And A Prayer (April 5)

Genre: Drama

Synopsis: A small town pilot dies suddenly while maneuvering a private plane carrying family. It is then left up to the husband and his wife to land the plane safely in order to save his entire family.

Cast: Sean McNamara, Heather Graham, Dennis Quaid, Rachael Markarian, Roma Downey and Mark Burnett.

4. Paint (April 7)

Genre: Comedy

Synopsis: Carl Nargle is a famous painter with his own number one television series. But all that changes when producers hire a younger, better painter who everyone loves.

Cast: Owen Wilson, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Michaela Watkins, Peter Brant and Ciara Renée

5. Sweetwater (April 14)

Genre: Drama, Sports, True story

Synopsis: The movie centers around Nat “Sweetwater” Clifton, the first African-American basketball player to play for an NBA team.

Cast: Bobby Portis Jr., Martin Guigui, Everett Osborne, Jim Caviezel and Dahlia Waingort Guigui, 

6. The Pope’s Exorcist (April 14)

Genre: Thriller, Suspense

Synopsis: The movie is based on Father Gabriele Amorth, the Italian priest who performed over 100,000 exorcisms for the Vatican.

Cast: ulius Avery, Russell Crowe, Evan Spiliotopoulos and Chuck MacLean

7. Renfield (April 14)

Genre: Drama, Horror

Synopsis: After years of being forced to procure the prey’s of his master Dracula, Renfield is ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of the Prince of Darkness.

Cast: Chris McKay, Nicolas Cage, Ben Schwartz, Robert Kirkman, Sean Furst and Nicholas Hoult.

8. Mafia Mamma (April 14)

Genre: Adventure, Comedy

Synopsis: After her grandfather passes away, Krisitin, a suburban woman takes over his mafia empire. At first the job is challenging but she eventually reigns supreme, defying everyone’s expectations.

Cast: Monica Bellucci, Rob Huebel, Toni Collette, Catherine Hardwicke and Debbie Jhoon.

9. Guy Ritchie The Covenant (April 21)

Genre: Drama, Action

Synopsis: A local interpreter risks his life during a war in Afghanistan to save a U.S sergeant. To repay him for his sacrifice, the sergeant returns to war to rescue the interpreter and his family from the dangers of their reality.

Cast: Jake Gyllenhaal, Emily Beecham, Dar Salim and Alexander Ludwig, 

10. Big George Foreman (April 28)

Genre: Biography, Drama

Synopsis: The movie follows the life of the famous boxer George Foreman.

Cast: Sullivan Jones, Khris Davis, Sonja Sohn, Forest Whitaker and Muhammad Ali
