Earns six Caribbean Film Award Nominations, and announces Jamaica-Wide theatrical release

Jamaican cinema celebrated a defining moment on Saturday, June 27, as Stew Peas, a 100% Jamaican-made feature film, held its highly anticipated world premiere before a packed audience at Carib 5 Cinemas in Kingston. 

Produced by iKon Media & Films in association with Fareye Films, the psychological thriller captivated audiences with its authentic storytelling and has now announced a Jamaica-wide theatrical release across all Palace Amusement cinemas beginning July 22, 2026, marking a significant milestone for independent Jamaican filmmaking and the next chapter in the film’s journey to audiences across the island.
