A total of eleven men were taken into custody in connection with the seizure of two firearms and several rounds of ammunition during an operation in Nannyville Gardens, Kingston 3 earlier this week.

The identities of the men are being withheld pending further investigations. Reports are that lawmen assigned to the St. Andrew Central Policing Division seized two firearms and ammunition during an operation along Koromante Path, Nannyville Gardens last Sunday, August 2.

The police indicate that between 3:45 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., a team was tracking an iPhone 13 Pro Max that had been stolen earlier from a petrol station in the Kingston area. Upon arriving at the location, the team observed several men gathered along the roadway in question.

The men were searched, and the stolen iPhone was recovered from one of them.

A further search of the surrounding area resulted in the seizure of one Browning 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing ten 9mm cartridges, and one Arex Delta 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing thirteen 9mm cartridges.

Following preliminary investigations, the men were taken into custody while the probe continues.
