A driver has been arrested following Monday’s fatal hit-and-run of an 11-year-old boy in Ferry, St Andrew.

The deceased is Duran McKenzie, who lived in the area.

It is reported that at about 3:02 pm, the boy was along the roadway when he was hit by a motorist, who did not stop.

The police used the vehicle’s licence plate to locate the driver, who lives in Portmore, and subsequently took him into custody.
