The JSE’s Corporate Governance Index assesses listed companies across key areas, including shareholder rights, disclosure and transparency, and board responsibilities. 138SL recorded strong scores across all major categories, underscoring its commitment to best practices.

The company’s CGI score has steadily improved over five years, moving from 61.41 in 2021 to 89.31 in 2025, highlighting a consistent focus on governance excellence. This ‘A’ rating strengthens 138SL’s positioning with investors and partners, particularly as governance standards become increasingly important in capital allocation decisions.

138S says it will continue to build on this progress as it pursues growth opportunities and long-term value creation.

We will continue to build on this foundation to support sustainable growth and protect shareholder value.”

For his part, CEO, Cranston Ewan remarks, “This is the result of deliberate work to strengthen how we govern, disclose, and make decisions. Strong governance is not just compliance—it is how we build trust and deliver long-term value.”
