17-y-o drowns in Manchester

A 17-year-old boy is suspected to have drowned at a beach in Alligator Pond in Manchester on Monday, April 1.

He has been identified as Nathaniel Thompson, of Ritchies District in Clarendon.

Reports from the Alligator Pond police are that about 10:45 a.m., Thompson encountered difficulties
while swimming and drowned.

The police were alerted and on their arrival, the body was retrieved from the water and taken to the morgue.

Investigations continue.
