The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) anticipates that 2024 will become the busiest year for the island to host weddings and romance-related activities.
The JTB’s optimism is spurred on by the recent exclusive wedding expo activation hosted by the Spoiled Agent Association, which featured a local marriage officer who answered questions and helped guide travel agents to make the process smooth for couples.
The Weddings Unit of the Registrar General’s Department and many resort wedding managers and coordinators participated in the virtual wedding expo and were on hand to answer questions posed by the agents which practices and incorporates cultural touches to their offerings.
Large turn-out of travel agents
Over 300 travel agents across North America attended and interacted with over 25 destination partners including Bahia Principe Resorts, Jamaica Inn, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts and Sandals Resorts, which are among the best-in-wedding destination hotels and experiences.
