As of Thursday, 35 roads in 12 parishes remain blocked following the passage of Hurricane Melissa.

There are six impassable corridors in Hanover, five in St Thomas, four in Trelawny and three each in St Andrew, St Elizabeth and St James.

All roads in the parishes of St Mary and Kingston have reopened. Some roads are being impacted by flooding.

Among these corridors are Montpelier to Cambridge in St James, Williamsfield to Mile Gully in Manchester, Martha Brae to Kinloss in Trelawny and Windsor to Aberdeen in St Elizabeth.

Works Minister, Robert Morgan, says 385 roads across the island were affected by Hurricane Melissa. Two hundred and forty-six are open to single-lane traffic.

Minister Morgan says teams from the National Works Agency continue restoration efforts to improve access across all parishes.
