Alicia Lyttle, the self-proclaimed ‘Queen of AI’—a seasoned entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, and digital marketing expert with over 23 years of experience in the industry—will be a part of the lineup of JMMB’s 2024 Elevate 6.0 financial empowerment series.

Lyttle takes the virtual stage today (January 27) at 10:00 am local time alongside JMMB’s Shani Duncan-Falconer, senior corporate manager, SME Resource Centre, to share on the topic, ‘Transitioning Your Side Hustle into and Established Business’.

Jamaican Roots

Although you might not catch a distinctive Jamaican accent, Alicia is a true Jamaican whose heart beats with Caribbean pride. Her dad hails from Jamaica, and her mother is a proud Guyanese, although she was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Keeping close to her Jamaican roots, Alicia and her sister, Lorette soaked up the Caribbean sun during their summers at their grandfather’s farm in May Pen growing up, and have since then have put down some roots with ownership of a piece of the ‘rock’.

Entrepreneurship

Alicia comes from a diverse professional background, having previously held positions at esteemed organisations, including the White House, United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and the Mayor’s Office of the City of New Orleans. She later transitioned to the digital world, building a successful career as an entrepreneur, AI consultant, and digital marketing specialist.

With now 24 years in the game, Alicia is a true entrepreneur who has embraced the highs and lows of what it means to be her own boss, celebrating the wins and learning from the losses Her journey has seen her making millions, losing it all, and bouncing back. “Entrepreneurship is a wild ride, but the challenges are what make it truly worth it,” shared the serial digital entrepreneur.

Empowering others through digital entrepreneurship

In 2010 after speaking at Jamaica’s inaugural digital marketing event., the impact was so real, that Alicia and her sister, Loretta, who were living in Florida at the time, packed their bags and invested their hearts into building Internet Income Jamaica. The mission – empowering others with the skills and knowledge to kickstart successful online businesses. Travel

Thanks to in her depth knowledge and wealth of experience, Alicia is a sought-after speaker whose expertise has seen her visiting almost every continent, except South America for speaking engagements, although serving clients there online. “I’ve been blessed to travel globally from Australia to South Africa, Singapore to Malaysia, China to India – you name it, I’ve been there. It’s been an unexpected blessing,” shared Alicia.

Artificial Intelligence

Dubbed ‘the Queen of AI’, Alicia is all about embracing artificial intelligence and its transformative powers for businesses, and encourages all business owners to ‘get off the fence about AI’ and instead do the necessary research so that they can effectively use it to supercharge their lives and businesses by boosting efficiency, and unlocking new levels of creativity. Admitting that she is hooked on the time savings, creative possibilities, and incredible outputs AI brings to the table. Among her favourite tools are: Descript, Rytr, Canva, though not an AI tool, uses AI to make graphic designing easy.

Although admitting to being a gadgets addict and “living online”, Alicia confesses that the one time she is “offline,” is when she goes fishing and instead connects to nature and the serenity that it offers.
