1. She’s a Clarendon Native
Bodley was born and raised in Clarendon before moving with her mother to live in Manchester at age 11.
2. She’s a past student of Manchester High School
Bodley spent her teenage years as a student at the Manchester High School where she was known as a Cadet Girl and an active member of the school’s drama club.
3. She served in the Jamaica Defence Force
After joining the Jamaica Defence Force in her late 20s, Bodley served as a member for three years.
4. She has multiple engineering degrees
Bodley is a past student of the Jamaica-based University of Technology (UTech) where she studied structural engineering. After graduating from UTech, she went on to earn a master’s degree in engineering management at the Florida International University (FIU).
5. She is a mental health advocate
Bodley is a three-time suicide attempt survivor, formally diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. Given her own struggles with mental health, as her healing process remains ongoing, she has dedicated her life to advocating for good mental health practices.
