67-year-old man dies after being mowed down by car on North Coast Highway

The Trelawny police are probing the circumstances surrounding the death of 67-year-old Patrick Jackson, who was mowed down by a motorcar as he attempted to cross a section of the North Coast Highway, Monday night.

The deceased is a wood carver of a Salt Marsh, Trelawny address.

According to police reports, about 10:30 pm, Jackson was hit by a Toyota Voxy motorcar on a section of the North Coast Highway in the vicinity of Bogue Gate.

He was transported to the Falmouth Public General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Jackson’s death pushes the number of road fatalities in Trelawny since the start of the year to 19.
