The ESIROM team was out and about last April at their first of three blood drives for the year as part of their wellness and CSR planning.

The team at ESIROM is back with another blood drive.

Through its ‘We Care’ corporate social responsibility arm, their second blood drive for the year – which partners again with the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) – is set to bring in those well-needed blood samples. The blood drive will take place tomorrow (August 13).

The first blood drive for the company was previously held on April 6 at National Chest Hospital, located at 36 ½ Barbican Road where the NBTS is housed.

Donors are asked to sign up for ESIROM’S We Care blood drive here and are asked to select ‘Good Health and Well being’ as the category.

Khalia Hall, Miss Jamaica World 2022 cracks a joke while volunteering to give blood at the first ESIROM blood drive last April.

“We’re asking volunteers  to come between 9:00 am – 2:30 pm at the Chest Hospital. We already have roughly 100 persons signed up so far on our website and we can’t wait to kick off another well-needed blood drive and continue to play our part,” shared Alex Morrissey, director of ESIROM.

In aid of good health and well being, the blood drives are endorsed by Miss Jamaica World 2022 Khalia Hall, who also signed up as a volunteer donor during the first blood drive.

The third drive for the year for the company is slated to fall around October. The company continues to grow in its volunteerism efforts, including its next activity being International Coastal Clean Up Day on September 17. For this activity, anyone can sign up via their website. It is estimated that one blood donation can save up to three lives as, when blood donations are collected, depending on the needs, one’s blood can be split into several parts to meet the needs of different patients.
