

The Road Safety Unit (RSU) in the Island Traffic Authority (ITA) is reporting that 73 persons have died on the nation’s roadways up to Thursday (March 7).
In an updated crash report, the RSU said these fatalities resulted from 65 fatal collisions.
Fatalities have decreased by 18 per cent while fatal crashes have decreased 16 per cent, when compared to the same period last year.
Motorcyclists, pedestrians and private motor vehicle drivers were on the top three road user categories with the highest number of road fatalities.
The parishes of Trelawny, St James, Hanover and Westmoreland accounted for the majority of road fatalities to date.
