Rushawn Patterson, the man charged with the murder of social media influencer Aneka ‘Slickianna’ Townsend, was once again remanded into custody when he appeared in court for a separate matter relating to an alleged assault incident in 2018.

Reports from police officials are that in 2018 Patterson abducted and assaulted his ex-girlfriend. He then threatened to kill her if she reported the incident to the police.

When the murder accused appeared before the Kingston and St Andrew court yesterday (March 22), in relation to the 2018 incident, he was given a new court of May 18.

The details about the 2018 incident are as follows:

Patterson picked up his ex-girlfriend at a service station then drove her away against her will to a remote area. He then choked her and made several blows to her body. He also demanded cash from his ex partner but she refused.

When he threatened to kill her and throw her body away, she convinced him that she would not make a report to the police.

Patterson then took his ex-partner back to her car and left. She reported the matter to the police.

The accused is separately charged with the murder of social media influencer Aneka ‘Slickianna’ Townsend. He was denied bail in relation to the matter when he appeared in court on Tuesday (March 21).
