The highly anticipated Magnum Top Performa competition is back for another season with an exciting partnership with ‘the greatest show on earth’ Reggae Sumfest.

The announcement was made on Thursday (April 20) at the Top Performa launch at Romeich HQ in Kingston.

Regional Marketing Manager for the brand, Kamal Powell, shared details about the competition and the new partnership.

“This year we will be relaunching Magnum Top Performa. It is a lyrical face-off style competition that unearths talent in the dancehall industry. For about two or three years we were locked inside so a lot of our new talent were unable to come out and showcase what they are made of. This year we are partnering with Sumfest and taking Magnum Top Performa to the road,” he explained.

This year, the show will be held physically and will feature an exciting seven to eight weeks of live roadshows across the island as a lead-up to Reggae Sumfest.

The overall winner of this year’s Top Performa 2023 competition will get the opportunity to perform live at Reggae Sumfest in July.

Chief Executive Officer of Downsound Entertainment, owners of the Reggae Sumfest brand, Joe Bogdanovic, commended the work of Magnum Tonic Wine and looks forward to seeing the winner perform.
