The newest addition to the Red Stripe family was officially introduced to the public during a tasty media launch on Wednesday night (May 17).
Rum Stripe, a specially curated ‘Rumvolution’ for consumers looking for an experience ‘beyond beer’, has emerged on the scene, as the latest taste of tropical vibes and authentic Jamaican flavour.
The launch party, held at Club Mecca at Marketplace, attracted a number of high-profile guests, social influencers, and big names in the music industry like top-charting artistes Valiant and Stalk Ashley.
Sean Wallace, Red Stripe’s head of commercial, advised the audience about the lightly carbonated Jamaican white rum mixed drink that comes in zesty cranberry and smooth pineapple-coconut flavours.
The alcoholic beverage will be sold in packages of four at an introductory unit price of J$300 each.
The audience was treated to an ample supply of the new beverage paired with delicious finger-food as patrons decided quickly which flavours they liked best. Throughout the night, Rum Stripe dancers and DJ Log On brought massive vibes.
To top off the night, young and hit-making dancehall artist, Roze Don, delivered a banging performance and was announced as Rum Stripe’s first brand ambassador.
