On again-off again retired boxing champion Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather has thrown down the gauntlet, saying he wants to fight American rapper, actor and former close friend 50 Cent as part of a series of exhibition bouts he’s lining up for 2021.

The proposed fight with ‘Fiddy’, government name Curtis Jackson, would take place sometime at the end of the year in Tokyo, Japan.

Mayweather and YouTuber Logan Paul have already agreed to face off in the ring, and the boxing legend is eyeing a duel with the vlogger’s brother, Jake Paul, as well.

Putting 50 on the canvas would be the icing on the cake.

The longstanding friendship between the boxer and rapper reportedly came to an end after a number of disagreements and after 50 prolonged a rumour that Mayweather couldn’t read.

The rumour had spread like wildfire a few years ago when 50 used the then trending ALS ice bucket challenge to embarrass the boxer by stating that if Mayweather “read a full page of a Harry Potter book” then the rapper would donate US$75,000 to an undisclosed charity.

Mayweather is now offering a chance to settle their ‘beef’ inside the ring.

In a social media post, he said: “Of course, the one with Logan Paul and I; and if Jake Paul can get past his next opponent Ben Askren, I will have an exhibition with him as well. I also heard that 50 Cent would fight me, but claims I’m too small. If he wants to lace up at the end of the year, we can do an exhibition then.”

Pointing out that Logan Paul and Jake Paul would make a lot of money from the fights, even if they lose, Mayweather stressed that the match up with 50 would have to be “winner take all”.
