Jamaican golden child, Koffee is back at it again with another international feature, this time in music magazine Rolling Stone.
The feature, titled ‘Koffee Dreams of Brighter Day’ highlights the young reggae artiste’s rapid rise to stardom and how she has remained on top.
Koffee made her debut in 2017 when she released her hit song Legend, inspired by Jamaican sprinting legend Usain Bolt.
Legend gained so much traction that she produced more songs after the hit single.
Burning was released in 2017, which garnered an international response and success.
Then, in 2018, Koffee released Raggamuffin, which earned her a deal with Columbia Records.
She subsequently released an EP, Rapture, for which she became the youngest person – at 19 – and first woman to win a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album in 2019.

Just as she was about to further expand her horizons on the international scene, COVID-19 appeared, impacting the world and leading to the cancellation or postponement of entertainment events globally.
One of the events that was cancelled was the Coachella Music Festival that had been scheduled for April 2020.
Koffee was down to perform as opening act for British singer, songwriter and actor Harry Styles.
That dream didn’t come through for either Koffee or her fans.
Coachella has also been cancelled for 2021.

Amid the pandemic, Koffee featured in musical collaborations with local artistes and ads for American retail companies such as H&M and the British Pop magazine, and now Rolling Stone.
Reportedly, Koffee is enjoying her time at home despite the pandemic, as it gives her time to reconnect with family and friends.
She also got to spend time finding other ways to stay creative, like learning how to play the piano and sharpening her music-reading skills.
This time was well spent as she produced the hit single, Lockdown – a song describing what she is looking forward to after the COVID-19 pandemic ends.
“It’s been a spiritual kind of year, I’ve learned a lot.”
Koffee brought up her upcoming debut LP, stating that she wanted to focus on the concept of unity.
“I want to speak of a solution and of a way that we can come together and get along, even when things are going wrong,” she said.
“Positivity is definitely a theme. It will be a very interesting twist for people who knew my music before, and also for people who will discover me. I think it will be really awesome.”
