Not quite sure what to make of her good fortune, Macka Diamond said in an with Irie Fm’s Music News on Monday that, when she first learned she would be receiving the keys to the city, she thought it was a joke.

However, on arriving to a ‘Macka Diamond Day’ show, which had been put on in her honour to celebrate the day, she was pleasantly surprised to see the number of people who had come out to support her.

“I feel good, I feel great,” she added.

While the Dye Dye singer is eagerly awaiting the world to return to some level of normalcy so she can proceed with her musical career, she is appreciative of the recognition given to her by the city of Cincinnati.
