All eyes are again on Bajan-born pop singer turned beauty mogul Rihanna, whose ANTI album made Billboard 200 history on Tuesday (March 23) when became the first album by a black female artiste to spend five years on the Billboard 200 charts.
The Love on the Brain artiste, who was no doubt in high spirits after hearing the good news, made the announcement on her social media pages on Wednesday (March 24) with a video she captioned:
“grateful to the most High for putting die hard supporters in my circle 🙏🏿 #Anti#WomensHistoryMonth 💪🏿congrats to everyone that contributed to this era, thank you, team.”
RIHANNA ‘SHOWS OUT’
FOR THE CULTURE
In the video, which is as much a celebration of her various performances over the years, as well as her philanthropic work, Rihanna makes it her duty to also ‘show out’ for the culture collating her visuals to the melodious sounds of Jamaican reggae singer Sizzla’s Black Woman And Child.
As Rihanna fans worldwide joined in to share their sentiments of congratulations to the Desperado singer for achieving yet another milestone, one fan expressed that the artiste “celebrate by releasing a song!!”.
Though Rihanna seemed up to the challenge, responding “I think I should” followed by a “soon” emoji, we won’t get our hopes too high.
