Leicester City today (May 15) beat Chelsea 1-0 in a tense final at Wembley Stadium in London, England

The FA Cup is England’s oldest domestic knockout cup competition.

The winning goal was scored by Youri Tielemens in the second half.

The 140th FA Cup Final was played in front of 21,000 fans as English football slowly welcomes back spectators after the COVID outbreak.

BRENDAN RODGERS’ FIRST FA CUP FINAL VICTORY

Leicester was up against a strong Chelsea side managed by Thomas Tuchel. Under his management, he has also guided Chelsea to this year’s Champion League’s final against Manchester City and all but assured them a top four finish in the EPL.

This is Brendan Rodgers’ first FA Cup final victory. He was once on the Chelsea coaching staff. He has done a fantastic job with the Midlands team this season. Leicester are also battling for a top four finish.

Five years ago, Leicester unexpectedly won the EPL. Rodgers having now secured Leicester’s first FA Cup, is helping them become a major force in British football.

Leicester takes on Chelsea again this coming Tuesday in the EPL.
