Go Green Global Limited, a Jamaican company with overseas backing has been granted a “Retailer (Herb House) License” by the Cannabis Licensing Authority.

With the license now in place, Go Green Global, which is the Jamaican subsidiary of Arizona based Endexx Corporation, a provider of innovative phytonutrient-based nutritional and wellness products is now pushing to roll out its retail medical cannabis operations in the coming weeks. The store will be located in the resort town of Ocho Rios at the Taj Mahal Shopping Centre, 4 Main Street, in the parish of St Ann.

Go Green Global Enterprises Limited is now licensed to handle Ganja in keeping with the conditions set out in “The Dangerous Drugs (Cannabis Licensing)(Interim) Regulations, 2016”.   The “Herb House”, the equivalent of a “Medical Marijuana Dispensary” in the United States with the company now preparing for its grand opening.

Strategic location for the ganja dispensary

The site of the retail store is strategic, as it is situated at the Taj Mahal Shopping Centre, which is located where all the cruise liners and tourist ships arrive into port and is centrally located in Ocho Rios providing access to the local community. Foot traffic during tourism season is extraordinary in this location.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism business is highly anticipated to return to Jamaica in late summer or early fall and therefore the retail store is ideally situated to cater to the flocks of visitors coming from cruise ships and stay-over tourists. Endexx through its subsidiary, Go Green Global Enterprises, which owns the Jamaican subsidiary is looking to continually increase its international footprint.

The company explains that, “receiving the license approval illustrates that Go Green Global is positioned to generate significant growth and revenues in the early stages of the legal cannabis market in Jamaica. Long term the company will seek to distribute its products internationally as export laws become established.”
