Reggae artiste Anna Blake, more popularly known by her stage name, Sevana, will be heading back to court on November 23 as she faces a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
Blake, who was first hit with the charge on June 1 of this year, appeared in the Westmoreland Parish Court on Tuesday (October 19) for a preliminary hearing.
On May 25, the Blessed singer was driving along the Scott Cove main road in Westmoreland when her vehicle, a Honda City, collided with a Honda Fit traveling in the opposite direction.
The official accident report disclosed that Blake was traveling closely behind a truck when she lost control of her vehicle after the truck driver applied his brake. Swerving to avoid a collision with the truck, Blake ran her City off the road to the left embankment and subsequently returned to the main, colliding head-on with the approaching vehicle to the right of the road.
Ordia Cordel, a passenger in the Honda Fit, suffered severe injuries and was admitted to the Black River Hospital where she died on May 30, five days later.
