Businessman Peter J. Thwaites is retiring from the board of Seprod Limited and its subsidiaries after 30 years of service as a director.

His retirement takes effect from December 31, 2021 after approximately 30 years of service. His retirement has triggered a number of changes at the board committee level at Seprod.

As of 1 January 2022, Melanie Subratie will be the chairperson of the Superannuation Committee, replacing Thwaites. Also as of 1 January 2022, Byron Thompson will be the chairperson of the Audit Committee, replacing Subratie.

Subratie remains a member of the Audit Committee.

In a statement, the Seprod Group thanked Thwaites for what it called his “invaluable contribution” and wished him “all the very best in the future”.

Seprod is a manufacturing based conglomerate in Jamaica.
