Jamaican distribution giant Wisynco has successfully negotiated and entered into a lease agreement with Factories Corporation of Jamaica (FCJ) to lease a 26,400 square foot warehouse facility at Hague, Trelawny.

The facility was previously used by a car parts dealer. The lease is effective November 1, 2021, for a period of five years with the option to renew.

The FCJ is the government agency responsible for the construction and lease of government factory space across the island. The warehousing space will serve as a hub for its distribution activity in western Jamaica, where nearly a third of the businesses it supplies with products reside.

Wisynco plans to grow the warehousing space to 370,000 square feet. The distribution company is now in the process of establishing a distribution centre in the western region of the island based at this Hague facility.

The company is currently retrofitting the warehouse space to meet its operational needs and anticipates that operations will commence at the warehouse toward the end of March 2022.
