JCF responds to bomb threat in St Ann

The police says normalcy has been restored in Ocho Rios, St Ann following an alleged bomb threat at a Rubis gas station in the parish Sunday (June 4) morning.

According to recent reports, a call was made to the police at approximately 9:00 AM about an alleged bomb at the location.

The police subsequently acted upon the information received and first responders arrived at a gas station on Milford Road in the parish and several checks were made at the location and surrounding businesses.

The JCF along with members of the Jamaica Defence Force and the Jamaica Fire Brigade responded to the threat.

The police in a statement on Sunday said that normalcy has since been restored to the area and law enforcement personnel are maintaining a presence in the space as investigators are currently seeking the instigator of the threat.
