Amrapali Gan, CEO of OnlyFans, announced on Tuesday, July 18, her departure from the company after serving in the position for about two-and-a-half years.
The popular creator platform, renowned for its support of adult content, will now be led by Keily Blair, the chief strategy and operations officer.
Gan shared her thoughts on the transition on Twitter, stating: “Spending nearly three years at OnlyFans while it echoed throughout the cultural zeitgeist has been beyond rewarding. Within this time, I’ve accomplished incredible goals for the business including enhancing its priority focus on platform safety, scaling the organisation globally, and growing OF’s diverse community of creators and fans.”
“OnlyFans is left in exceptional hands as the baton gets passed over to friend and colleague, Keily Blair to take the reigns of the organisation. What’s next? I’m off to pursue a few new opportunities – including launching a fresh venture,” she continued.
According to Gan, during her tenure as CEO, the company paid out $10 billion in creator earnings, made it on the Financial Times‘ list of Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies, oversaw the expansion of OFTV, and launched the platform’s Safety & Transparency Center.
Incoming CEO Keily Blair shared her thoughts on her social media pages, stating: “I believe that if you work hard you should be rewarded for your work and your creativity no matter what your background or your choice of career. These values are at the heart of what we offer to creators & are the reason I joined as chief strategy & operations officer 18 months ago. And these values are why I am delighted to have been asked to serve as CEO. OnlyFans only succeeds when creators succeed, so creators (from all genres) will be at the heart of every decision we make. “
