Controversial American television journalist of former host on Cable News Network (CNN), Don Lemon, is set to start his very own show, The Don Lemon Show, on the Elon Musk-owned social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

Lemon made the announcement on Tuesday, January 9, via an Instagram post.

“I’ve heard you…and today I am back bigger, bolder, freer! My new media company’s first projects is The Don Lemon Show. It will be available to everyone, easily, whenever and wherever you want it, streaming on the platforms where the conversations are happening. And you’ll find it first on X, the biggest space for speech in the world. I know now more than ever that we need a place for honest debate and discussion without the hall monitors. This is just the beginning so stay tuned,” Lemon wrote.

Lemon, who was a long-standing host on CNN from 2014, was fired in 2023 for sexist comments he made about American politician Nikki Haley during CNN’s This Morning show.

The 57-year-old came under public scrutiny after he reportedly dismissed Haley, who is 51 years old, as not being in her prime. Lemon noted that women who are considered in their prime are those in their 20s, 30s and maybe their 40s.
