‘Beachy Stout’ to stand trial for first wife’s murder

Portland businessman Everton ‘Beachy Stout’ McDonald, is to stand trial for the murder of his first wife Marlene McDonald.
Marlene McDonald was shot dead in 2019 in front of her home Boundbrook, Portland and her husband was questioned at the time but was never charged.
However, ‘Beachy Stout’ was again under investigation after his second wife, Tonia Hamilton-McDonald, was brutally stabbed in July 2020.
While investigating him for his second wife’s murder, police re-opened their probe into the murder of his first wife’s killing.
McDonald, who is currently on trial for the murder of his second wife appeared before Justice Leighton Pusey in connection with the earlier murder.
The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) confirmed that the file is ready for trial but the prosecution is awaiting the conclusion of the current trial involving McDonald.
The trial for Marlene McDonald’s murder will take place between April 13 and May 6 in 2026.
