JCF probes sudden death of detective constable

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is investigating the death of a detective constable, who is said to have been displaying flu-like symptoms before his passing.

He is Rameesh Williams, 35, who is stationed at the Elleston Road Criminal Investigative Branch.

Reports are that Williams, who resides with his common-law spouse, was suffering from flu symptoms such as headaches, joint pains, and fever for a week. He treated the symptoms with Panadol and Cetamol.

However, the officer was later found unresponsive at his home. He was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH), where he was pronounced dead.
