The ex-boyfriend of 17-year-old Alecia King, who was set ablaze in her sleep in August of last year, has been remanded in custody until April 16.

Antwone Grey was remanded when he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court on Friday, March 1, due to incomplete case files.

Reports are that King was set ablaze in her sleep at her home in Linstead, St Catherine on Thursday, August 24, where she suffered severe burns to her body.

Consequenbtly, Grey has been charged with arson, attempted murder and assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.

With the support of the Sanmerna Foundation, she was airlifted to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas, to receive medical care.

King is now back home after receiving medical treatment in the U.S.
