A verbal clash ensued yesterday after two members of the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) refused to stop when summoned by police highway patrol along the North-South leg of the toll highway.

While the specifics of the confrontation remain unclear, someone who appears to be a JCF officer can be heard saying the JDF soldiers, who were travelling in a vehicle, were asked to stop but allegedly refused to comply initially.

“You should be ashamed of yourself, ina the government uniform, police stopped you,” one of the police officer scolded.

The presumed JDF soldier could be heard perturbed about a gun allegedly being pointed at him.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
