A Glock-19 pistol with two (2) 9mm cartridges was among 122 5.56 cartridges, five Glock magazines and two 5.56 magazine seized by the Hanover police during an operation in Gravel Lane, Hopewell in the parish on Sunday, April 21.

Reports are that about 8:45 a.m., law enforcers carried out a search at a premises in the area but
nothing was found.

A further search was conducted at the back of the premises in an open lot, where a knapsack was found with the contraband.

The man occupying the premises was arrested and taken into custody pending further investigations.

His identity was not revealed.
