Premium ice cream maker Scoops Unlimited Ltd has inked a new distribution partnership with Wisynco Group Limited that will see its Devon House Ice Cream brand becoming available in the retail outlets by next week.

As per the arrangement, Wisynco will distribute the ice cream through a network of supermarkets, gas stations and convenience stores it supplies across the island.

This decision, director of Devon House Ice Cream Dr Matthew Clarke said, was in response to appeals from customers for the product to be more conveniently available across the country.

“Based on our market research, there is overwhelming demand for Devon House Ice Cream to be available in supermarkets and similar locations. Accomplishing this goal would significantly increase our reach throughout the island, making the product more easily accessible to all Jamaicans,” he explained.

He also noted that the Devon House Ice cream will be packaged in eco-friendly, biodegradable containers with safety seals, which will maintain the highest quality standards and consistency.

The ice cream will be sold in in pint and quart sizes.

“Having Devon House Ice Cream available in grocery stores, gas stations and convenience stores across the country is not expected to negatively impact sales at the ever-popular Devon House-branded scoop retail outlets, as we know there are long-standing customers who will still seek out the unique ‘scoop shop’ experience and settings,” Clarke outlined.

The company’s flagship store located on the historic Devon House grounds in St Andrew has been named by National Geographic as the fourth best place in the world to enjoy ice cream.
