The Meteorological Service of Jamaica says citizens can expect more cloudy and gusty conditions with occasional shower activity across most sections of the island today (June 27).
The Met Service, in its Wednesday morning forecast, advised that the current unstable weather is due to the outer bands of a tropical wave passing just south of the island. Additionally, a low-level jet stream persists, bringing gusty winds over southern parishes.
Morning showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to dominate sections of most parishes, while it should be otherwise mostly cloudy and windy.
More isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms are in store for the country, mainly across sections of southern and northwestern parishes. Elsewhere is anticipated to remain cloudy and windy.
Maximum temperatures expected today in major cities Kingston and Montego Bay are 34 and 33 degrees Celcius respectively.

Friday: Partly cloudy morning. Afternoon & evening showers isolated thunderstorms mainly across sections of hilly areas and western parishes, partly cloudy elsewhere. Windy along the south coast.
Saturday: Widely scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms across central and western parishes.
