Legendary reggae artiste Marcia Griffiths is back with a brand-new single, “Mek We Dance”, produced by the renowned Clive Hunt.
This upbeat track, released on July 3, promises to be a summer anthem, bringing joy and rhythm to reggae fans around the world.
Marcia Griffiths, known as the “Queen of Reggae,” has been a trailblazer in the music industry for over five decades.
Her illustrious career includes iconic hits like “Electric Boogie” and “Young, Gifted, and Black.” With “Mek We Dance,” Griffiths continues to showcase her timeless talent and ability to connect with audiences of all ages.
“I love the rhythm of the song; I really love it! It’s a happy song, danceable, and I enjoyed recording that track,” says Griffiths. “This song is all about celebrating life and enjoying every moment. I hope it brings as much joy to listeners as it did to me while recording it.”
Produced by Clive Hunt, a celebrated figure in the reggae music scene, “Mek We Dance” is a perfect blend of traditional reggae vibes and modern sounds.
Hunt’s masterful production highlights Griffiths’ soulful voice, creating a track that is both nostalgic and refreshing.

“Mek We Dance” was interestingly also written by another popular Jamaican artiste, Omi, known globally for his hit song ‘Cheerleader.’
“Mek We Dance” is being distributed by the record label Ineffable Records and was produced by Hunt under his Iconic Azul company.
It is now available for streaming and download on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and Amazon Music, starting July 3.
