A Tropical Wave is just east of Jamaica and is expected to move across the island later today bringing a storm filled weekend.

This Tropical Wave is producing a large area of showers and thunderstorms bringing unstable weather to Jamaica for the next two days.

Additionally, due to recent rainfall from Hurricane Beryl and the resulting ground saturation, flooding and landslides are highly likely.

Windy conditions are also expected from Saturday due to the presence of a Low-Level Jet Stream.

• Expect it to become more cloudy with widely scattered showers and thunderstorms across most parishes as well as windy conditions along coastal areas this afternoon.
