In Corporate Movements this week tTech CEO Kevin Gordon has advised of the appointment of Rob Mayo-Smith as chief operating officer (COO), effective July 25.
Mayo-Smith has worked across the Caribbean in several senior positions including CFO, CEO and regional CEO for Digicel, and country manager for Cable and Wireless. He will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of tTech as COO.
Both Gordon and Smith are the owners of Simply Secure LLC, which recently acquired 49.1 per cent of the issued ordinary shares of tTech Limited.
PROVEN director resigns
Anya Chow Chung resigned from the board of directors of PROVEN Group Limited effective July 24.
Chung, having served in her capacity as a non-executive independent director for over two years, brought her vast experience to the board.
The PROVEN board wished her all the best in her future endeavours.
Bridget Lewis departs VM Investments board
VM Investments Limited advises of the resignation of director, Bridget Lewis, effective August 1.

Blue Power appoints new director
Blue Power Group is announcing the appointment of Dr Swee Chua to its board of directors. Her appointment was approved at the last meeting of the board held on July 16.
The appointment took effect on August 1. Dr Chua was formerly the country head of HGS Jamaica, a business process outsourcing firm with over 1,500 employees operating in Jamaica. As country head, Dr. Chua has overall responsibility for the operational performance of the accounts in Jamaica as well as the supporting shared services functions of the enterprise.
She holds a doctorate in Economics from the University of Oxford in the UK and has over 20 years’ experience in the private and public sectors as well as academic research.
Prior to joining the BPO sector, Dr. Chua worked in the utilities, consulting, insurance and regulatory sectors.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Chua has served as vice president of Jamaica Public Service (where she had management responsibility for commercial operations and internal shared services). She has also served as an economist and senior economist at European consultancy OXERA UK.
