The UWI-Mona has extended heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Don Wehby, the outgoing CEO of GraceKennedy.

The institution said Wehby is an outstanding graduate of The UWI Mona with both a BSC and MSc in Accounting.

“Since graduating from The UWI, Don has used his tremendous skills and expertise to build strong communities and change the lives of people for good, using the corporate world as his vehicle of choice,” it said.

Wehby’s 14-year leadership at GraceKennedy Ltd has been exemplary, where he grew the company from J$58 billion in revenue to over J$155 billion up to the time of his retirement.

“This is no effortless task in a highly competitive marketplace. Don must be congratulated and celebrated for his leadership. As he transitions into retirement, we say thanks for his leadership and partnership with our UWI over the years as we advanced teaching and learning to make the lives of people better. The UWI Mona wishes Don well in retirement as he takes on new passion projects,” the university added.
