Tropical Battery Company is strengthening its compensation committee’s oversight of executive remuneration and talent management.

To this end, Tropical Battery has appointed seasoned corporate executive and accounting professional, Jody Gager-Rose, as an independent director and onboarded her to the company’s compensation committee, effective 20 March 2025.

Gager-Rose brings a strong track record in accounting, financial reporting, and corporate governance, which will further strengthen the compensation committee’s work.

This appointment enables the committee to meet the corporate governance requirements of the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Main Market. 

As Tropical advances its planned migration from the Junior Market to the Main Market, the company is reiterating its commitment to aligning with the highest standards of board independence, transparency, and accountability.

The Board of Directors welcomes Gager-Rose to her new role and looks forward to her contributions in ensuring that Tropical Battery’s compensation framework supports its long-term strategic objectives and sustainable value creation for shareholders.
