A teenage boy is suspected to have drowned while swimming in the Caenwood River in Western Portland.
It is reported that the river was in spate when the boy allegedly entered it on Sunday afternoon.
Portland has been battered by heavy rains for the past three days, resulting in several rivers overflowing their banks.
The body has since been retrieved and taken to a morgue.
Police are still investigating.
