Nigerian doctor killed in car crash in St Mary

Thirty-six-year-old Ubung Etti of Annotto Bay succumbed to injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle collision along the Golden Valley main road in Castleton, St Mary, on Monday, April 21.

He is a medical doctor of Nigerian descent and was a passenger in a blue Honda Fit motor car, with three other doctors aboard, travelling from Kingston towards Annotto Bay.

It is reported that the driver swerved to avoid a collision with an oncoming vehicle, hit an embankment and plummeted into a precipice.

The incident happened at about 5:50 am.

All four occupants were transported to the hospital, where Etti was pronounced dead and the others were treated.
