Optimum Jamaica, an affiliate of the Optimum Altice USA organisation, officially secured membership in the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ) on Wednesday (May 28), solidifying its investment in the dynamic domestic business ecosystem and affirming its commitment to building meaningful corporate roots on the island.

This strategic move aligns with Optimum’s continued growth as a global communications and media powerhouse and further demonstrates the company’s belief in Jamaica as a key location for innovation, talent development, and corporate impact. By joining the PSOJ, Optimum is taking a bold step to contribute to national economic development while leveraging Jamaican expertise to support its global operations.

“As we continue to expand Optimum’s international presence, establishing a strong corporate footprint in Jamaica is critical,” said Leon Thomas, site general manager of Optimum Jamaica. “Becoming a member of the PSOJ is a strategic investment in building lasting partnerships, fueling innovation, and tapping into the incredible talent that Jamaica offers. We are proud to be part of this vibrant network and excited to grow with it.”

The official welcome took place during the member onboarding session today at the PSOJ Hope Road headquarters in St Andrew. During the session, Optimum was formally presented with its PSOJ membership certificate, marking a new chapter in its local operations.

Sacha Vaccianna-Riley, executive director of the PSOJ, shared her enthusiasm:

“We are pleased to welcome Optimum Jamaica to the PSOJ family. As a communications and media company committed to service excellence, Optimum’s investment in Jamaica not only strengthens our global business linkages but also creates meaningful opportunities for our local workforce. Their decision to leverage Jamaican talent to support international operations is a strong testament to the value and potential of our people.
