Police say no one was arrested in connection with the seizure of 510 sticks of dynamite during an operation in the Bull Bay area of St Thomas on Monday (July 7).

Superintendent Michael Campbell stated that the police were conducting operational activity in the Bull Bay area when the explosives were found under a bridge.

“I am hearing reports that three persons were arrested and that these explosives were in the possession of persons who have a gang conflict, and they’re stocking up on their arsenal to launch an attack. This has led to widespread misconceptions and, you know, will erode trust and confidence, and we are concerned about these types of reports,” Campbell said.
