Marcus Rashford has opened his account for Barcelona, finding the net in a dominant 5-0 victory over South Korean side Daegu on Monday.
The England forward, who joined Barça on a season-long loan from Manchester United just two weeks ago, has hit the ground running in preseason. The deal includes an option for the Spanish giants to make the move permanent for £30.3 million at the end of the campaign.
Rashford made his debut shortly after arriving, coming off the bench in a 3-1 win against Vissel Kobe. He notched his first assist in a thrilling 7-3 win over Seoul, and now, he’s added a goal to his growing list of contributions.
His moment came in the second half against Daegu, when Eric Garcia made a clever run down the right and squared the ball into the box. Rashford met it with a calm, first-time finish into the bottom corner.
Barcelona’s preseason form continues to impress. Gavi grabbed a brace, while Robert Lewandowski and youngster Toni Fernandez also got on the scoresheet in what was a one-sided game.
