Spanish Town’s lunchtime rush had an extra spark last Friday when Digicel’s executive team stopped by Beeny’s Jerk to surprise the owner Kavion Nolan with a J$100,000 cheque for being one of the winners in the Digicel Remix D’Summa promotion.

Cooking has always been Kavion’s passion. From a young age, he found happiness in the kitchen, and that same love for food still fuels Beeny’s Jerk today.

For the past 11 years, what began as a small cook-stall built at the intersection of Brunswick Road has grown into a favourite after-work spot, known for flavour, finger foods and the laughter that always seems to fill the space.

During the visit, Kavion wore many hats. He was the cook, the server, the entertainer, and the host. He kept the fire blazing while dishing out meals and plenty of laughter.

Between the stories, the selfies, and the food, one thing was clear: at Beeny’s Jerk, the real secret ingredient is how Kavion makes people feel when they stop by.

Grateful for the support, he plans to reinvest his winnings into expanding the menu, a step closer to his dream of growing Beeny’s Jerk even further.
