
Aventa Jamaica affirmed its commitment to the local health care sector, highlighting its mission of Advancing health and Enhancing lives at the Pharmaceutical Society of Jamaica’s (PSJ) 40th Annual Conference.
The company was a gold sponsor of the event held at the Princess Grand Jamaica Hotel, Green Island, Negril, from September 4–7, 2025. The Ruby Edition of the conference brought together pharmacists, industry leaders, and health care partners to celebrate four decades of professional growth and continuing education in Jamaica’s pharmaceutical landscape.
Speaking at the conference, Aventa Jamaica CEO Glenise Durrant said, “This event is not just about presence, but about showing up with purpose.”
She added: “We partner with the PSJ to support our pharmacists in their continuing education. Earlier this year, our seminar attracted over 1,200 participants, and we look forward to further strengthening these efforts in the years ahead.”

As a gold sponsor, Aventa focused on reinforcing its relationships with stakeholders such as the National Health Fund, PSJ, and its pharmacist network. The brand highlighted initiatives around market access, ensuring patients benefit from reliable and timely access to quality medicines. These efforts—achieved through collaboration with suppliers, principals, regulators, and industry partners—reflect Aventa’s commitment to strengthening Jamaica’s health care system.
While Aventa operates across Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Curaçao, and Aruba, its leadership affirmed that Jamaica is a significant operation in the regional network.

The leadership team’s visible presence at the Princess Grand underscored Aventa Jamaica’s commitment to the local health care sector. The company’s booth showcased its expanding portfolio, from over-the-counter products to speciality and ethical lines, as well as personal care items.

Aventa Jamaica also used the conference as a platform to recognise the strength of its strategic partnerships. Over recent years, alliances with principals such as Asofarma, Ferring, Organon, First Quality, Health 2000 Canada, Carlisle, and Diquez have deepened, positioning the company as a trusted partner for both suppliers and pharmacists. These partnerships have allowed Aventa to diversify its portfolio and expand its role in supporting healthcare delivery.
Investment and innovation
The executives pointed to the importance of investing not only in infrastructure and distribution reliability but also in people, with new hires placed across emerging business lines. Additionally, Aventa Jamaica’s identity remains anchored in innovation and service.
The company’s logo, shared across its regional affiliates, reflects this ethos. It features four leaf-like shapes, representing employees, partners, customers, and communities, which come together to create a spark of innovation and growth.
Executives noted that the convergence of human values with science, reflects Aventa’s “belief in placing customer, suppliers, patients at the centre of everything we do and in all stakeholder interactions.

As the PSJ’s 40th Conference concluded, Aventa Jamaica reaffirmed that quality remains the guiding principle of its operations.

The company also highlighted its intention to continue investing in continuing education, infrastructure, and product availability, with plans already underway for another large-scale seminar in 2026.

A history of partnerships
In June, Aventa Jamaica was a gold sponsor for the Medical Associates of Jamaica Symposium 2025 held at the Pegasus Hotel, where the company won the Best Booth prize with the rebranded logo.

There, Aventa hosted representatives from two of Aventa’s suppliers with whom they have exclusive distributorship—Advanced Med Tech Solutions (AMS) and Asofarma (CentroAmerica & Caribe)
