Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal is set to miss two to three weeks after re-injuring his groin, ruling him out of Spain’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Bulgaria.

The 18-year-old had just returned from a previous spell on the sidelines, making an impact in Barça’s La Liga win over Real Sociedad, but the injury resurfaced during their Champions League loss to PSG.

Yamal’s recurring fitness issues have once again sparked friction between Barcelona and the Spanish national team over how the rising star is being managed. With two goals and four assists in just five appearances this season, the club is growing increasingly cautious about his workload, and they’re not alone in voicing concerns.
