Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising the public that the Montego Bay Revenue Service Centre and several of its satellite offices remain closed as repair work continues in the wake of Hurricane Melissa.

The agency issued the clarification after a video titled “A Public Service Announcement”—dated Monday, November 17—began circulating on social media, suggesting services were being offered at the Montego Bay location. TAJ says the video is old and was originally recorded for an unrelated activity.

In its release on Tuesday, TAJ also highlighted that several western tax offices remain out of operation. These include locations in Darliston, Falmouth, Jackson Town, Lucea, and Savanna-la-Mar.

Customers in the affected areas are being urged to conduct their transactions at the St Ann’s Bay, Moneague, and Brown’s Town tax offices until further notice.

TAJ is reminding the public to exercise caution when doing business and to rely solely on the agency’s verified communication channels for updates on reopening schedules and payment options.
