Florida-based company Hear At Last (HRAL) is preparing to send a shipment of modular homes to Jamaica as part of the fulfilment of a contract with local construction company GG&A Associate Solutions Limited to deliver 100 housing units.

The units will undergo final quality assurance checks before being dispatched, ensuring they arrive meeting HRAL’s quality and durability standards. Thereafter, the company will continue its multi-phase fulfilment schedule until all 100 units are delivered.

HRAL says this first batch demonstrates ‘s commitment to quality, reliability, and efficient logistics as demand for its housing solutions grows, and it strengthens partnerships throughout the region. With the company’s expanded collaboration in Jamaica, HRAL is supporting local development while strengthening its position as a provider of innovative housing solutions in the Caribbean and the wider international market.

“We are excited to take this major step forward with our Jamaican partners,” said Pete Wanner, CFO at HRAL.

“Preparing the first shipment from this 100-unit allocation highlights the confidence our clients have in our products and the dedication of our team to delivering excellence.”

Months in the making

In April 2025, HRAL entered into a strategic partnership with GG&A Associate Solutions to provide affordable and durable portable homes for the Jamaican Government. The collaboration seeks to address the country’s ongoing housing challenges and improve the living standards of thousands of Jamaicans.

Payment for the order was finalised in September.

HRAL describes the housing solutions as both cost-effective and environmentally sustainable, with the capacity to weather natural disasters. The company added that the units can be quickly deployed to address housing crises.

“We believe in creating solutions that are not only affordable but also adaptable to various needs,” said Wanner. “Our goal is to make a lasting impact on the lives of Jamaican families, ensuring that more people have access to safe, sustainable, and comfortable living spaces.”

The portable homes, constructed using eco-friendly materials, are designed for quick assembly and can be easily relocated as needed. This scalability makes them a perfect solution for addressing both short-term housing needs after disasters and long-term housing solutions for underserved communities.

During the contract signing, Wanner noted, “These portable homes are a game-changer for Jamaica.

“They are built to withstand various environmental challenges, including hurricanes and flooding, making them ideal for both urban and rural areas. We are proud to partner with a reputable Jamaican contractor to bring these homes to the people of Jamaica,” he said.

A boost to local employment, skills development

In addition to providing affordable housing, the partnership will contribute to the local economy by generating jobs in construction, manufacturing, and installation. GG&A Associate Solutions committed then to training local workers in modular housing construction, ensuring long-term skills development within the community.

Gustavo Arroyo, president of GG&A Associate Solutions Limited, emphasised the importance of the partnership.

“This project represents a significant step toward enhancing Jamaica’s housing infrastructure while also providing much-needed employment opportunities. We are thrilled to work alongside Hear At Last to bring these portable homes to Jamaica, and we look forward to making a lasting impact.”
